Recap: Charlottesville Black Knights vs. Louisa County Lions

The Charlottesville Black Knights put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Louisa County at home to the tune of 89-22. Charlottesville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 25 points or more this season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Louisa County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Charlottesville pushed their record up to 19-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Louisa County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlottesville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Goochland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Louisa County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Monticello presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Virginia (the Mustangs are ranked 148th, while the Lions are ranked 323rd).
