Basketball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

Sycamore lost against Princeton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sycamore Aviators lost to the Princeton Vikings at home by a 59-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Aviators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Vikings are ranked 80th).

Sycamore has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Princeton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore will welcome Oak Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season. As for Princeton, they will square off against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
