Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Hope Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Keystone Heights Indians and fell 53-24. The Lions have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Grant Timonere and Noah Gaffney certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Timonere posted 18 points, while Gaffney scored four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Looking ahead, Hope Christian Academy will face off against Westwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Keystone Heights, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Englewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
