Softball Preview: Mohawk Warriors vs. Monroeville Eagles
The Mohawk Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Monroeville Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Mohawk has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, Mohawk didn't have quite enough to beat Wynford and fell 8-7.
Katie Woodland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Blake Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Monroeville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Flyers.
Monroeville let Rachel Fries and Taryn Tyler run wild. Fries went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Tyler went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
