Volleyball Recap: Southlake Christian Academy Snaps 13-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against High Point Christian Academy, SouthLake Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hickory Grove Christian Lions. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

The victory didn't come easy: Hickory Grove Christian scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-20.

SouthLake Christian Academy's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

SouthLake Christian Academy and Hickory Grove Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Gaston Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (428 vs. 70). Meanwhile, Hickory Grove Christian (ranked 499th) will meet Metrolina Christian Academy (ranked 213th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
