St. Xavier's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Miamisburg on Friday. The Bombers walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Anderson Raptors. The Bombers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raptors, too.

St. Xavier is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Anderson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12.

Looking ahead, St. Xavier will challenge Milford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bombers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Anderson, they will face off against Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Raptors surely won't give up without a fight.
