Maine South entered their tilt with New Trier on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trevians. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Trevians back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Maine South never let New Trier on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23.

Leo Trespeces-Winck paced Maine South's offense, picking up 13 kills. Trespeces-Winck got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 18 assists. Trespeces-Winck also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Simon Zwierczyk, racking up two apiece.

Maine South's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for New Trier, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
