Basketball Recap: South Lake Comes Up Short

South Lake lost against Leesburg back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Lake Eagles took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leesburg Yellow Jackets.

Leesburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Campbell, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelo Moton, who had 12 points.

South Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Leesburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

South Lake will take on Lake Weir at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in South Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. Leesburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
