The Cahokia Comanches will square off against the Jersey Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cahokia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.

Cahokia is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Wednesday. The contest between the Comanches and Jacksonville didn't end well, with the Comanches falling 71-56. While losing is never fun, the Comanches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Crimsons are ranked 147th).

Despite the loss, Cahokia got top-tier performance from C'narri Griffin, who went 8-for-19 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taven Miller, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Jersey ended up a good deal behind Granite City on Wednesday and lost 62-47.

Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Jersey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Cahokia won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, slipping by Jersey 51-50. Will the Comanches repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
