Football Recap: North White Drops Season-High Score on Faith Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North White). They walked away with a 52-40 victory over the Faith Christian Eagles on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

North White found their leader in sophomore Carter Applegate, who rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 45 yards and one TD.

North White was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Christian only rushed for 122 rushing yards.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for North White, racking up 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Mason DeBoard, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at Jacob Hill. Despite the final result, he picked up 137 receiving yards and three scores. Ayden Smith got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North White's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Faith Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, North White will head out on the road to square off against Bowman Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Tri-County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
