Football Recap: Forsan Comes Up Short

Forsan fell victim to Ropes and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Eagles 59-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Buffaloes were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Forsan and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Ropes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Forsan and Sonora will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Broncos will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Ropes, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tahoka at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
