Volleyball Game Preview: Harwood Highlanders vs. Middlebury Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Harwood Highlanders and the Middlebury Tigers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Harwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Rice Memorial 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

While Harwood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Middlebury faced Vermont Commons in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Flying Turtles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Flying Turtles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Harwood's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Middlebury, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Harwood suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Middlebury in their previous meeting on October 8th. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
