Basketball Recap: Katy Taylor Triumphs

After losing to Angleton the last time they met, Katy Taylor decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs snuck past the Wildcats with a 61-57 win on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Angleton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bryson Campbell shot 60% from the field to rack up 30 points. That was a full 52.6% of the Wildcats' points, marking the third time in a row Campbell has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Kabba, who had eight points.

Katy Taylor now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Angleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Katy Taylor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-38 loss against Jersey Village on the 25th. As for Angleton, they have also already played their next contest, a 75-62 victory against Brazosport on the 24th.
