Central is a perfect 5-0 against Northwestern since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Central Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northwestern Bulls at 3:30 p.m. Central's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four games, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Hialeah on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Central came up short against Hialeah, falling 30-6.

Meanwhile, Northwestern put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jackson 52-0. Fans of the Bulls have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Northwestern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Antastasia Clinch and Jade Yacinthe. Yacinthe got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Central was able to grind out a solid win over Northwestern when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 13-0. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwestern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
