It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. John's/Tipton Catholic had no problem doing just that on Monday. They claimed a resounding 84-49 victory over the Pike Valley Panthers. The Blujays' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ezra Benne, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Cooper, who scored 13 points.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points over those games. The loss snapped Pike Valley's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-11 record.
