St. Michael and Robertson are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The St. Michael's Horsemen will welcome the Robertson Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Michael's is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on West Las Vegas with a sharp 94-71 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Horsemen, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Robertson on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Academy for Technology and The Classics out of the water with a 70-42 final score. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Academy for Technology and The Classics are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Robertson's win came from a few key players St. Michael's will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nathan Gonzales, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was George Smith, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten assists.

Robertson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 5-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

St. Michael's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.4 points. As for Robertson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
