Football Recap: Manual Skates Past Centennial with Ease

Manual never let their opponents score on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 32-0 victory over the Centennial Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Nyanna Payton looked great while leading her team to the win, picking up 27 receiving yards and two scores.

Manual didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Admyre Thompson and Zanyia Lee-Young. Thompson is also crushing it when it comes to defended passes: she's defended at least one every time she's taken the field this season. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Manual now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manual will welcome Kankakee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richwoods at 10:00 a.m. on the 20th.
