Recap: Norland Vikings vs. Olympia Titans

After losing to the Olympia Titans the last time they met, the Norland Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Norland strolled past Olympia with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 53-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norland.

Marcus Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Triston Wilson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Kameren Wright and Lucca Reinehr certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Wright scored 16 points along with two steals, while Reinehr scored six points. Wright is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Norland's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Olympia, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Norland and Southridge will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Norland likes a good challenge. As for Olympia, Olympia and Wekiva will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wekiva will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Olympia is ranked 15th).
