Basketball Recap: Justien Tido's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Riverside over Grant Union

Riverside was the 51-16 winner over Grant Union when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Riverside Pirates took a 46-32 bruising from the Grant Union Prospectors on Tuesday.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justien Tido, who posted nine points and five rebounds. Tido is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Abrianna Lomeli was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Riverside now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Grant Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Riverside is taking a road trip to face off against Irrigon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grant Union will take on Adrian in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant Union is facing Adrian at the right time seeing as Adrian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
