Liberty County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They strolled past Wewahitchka with points to spare, taking the game 45-28. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaylee Sexton and Haven Davis were among the main playmakers for Liberty County as the former posted 14 points and the latter put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Cottondale faced off against Vernon. in a bug-themed battle on Tuesday. Cottondale came out on top against Vernon by a score of 26-16. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The victory got Liberty County back to even at 8-8. As for Cottondale, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Liberty County against Cottondale in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
