Soccer Game Preview: Cannon Falls vs. Byron

The Cannon Falls Bombers will head out to face off against the Byron Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Cannon Falls didn't have quite enough to beat Red Wing and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Byron was not quite Lourdes' equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Cannon Falls has now lost six of their last eight games on the road. That gives them a 5-3 record this season. Those road losses came despite the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those eight contests. As for Byron, they are now 5-5, having gone 1-2 since their three-game winning streak ended.
