Volleyball Recap: Wauzeka-Steuben's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wauzeka-Steuben entered their tilt with Weston on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Silver Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Wauzeka-Steuben was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-17.

Claire Wright was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Wauzeka-Steuben was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weston only served six.

Weston lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lexi Rockweiler, who had ten kills and ten digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shelby Neumann, who had eight digs and two aces.

Wauzeka-Steuben's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Weston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wauzeka-Steuben beat Weston by a score of 3-0 on Thursday.
