Basketball Recap: Kevin Ntim Asamoah's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cedar Ridge over Williams

Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 57-43 bruising from the Williams Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-67 back in January.

Several Fighting Red Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Ntim Asamoah, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Those 14 points gave Ntim Asamoah a new career-high. Jordan Jacobson was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Leading Williams to victory were Jaeden Smith and Colby Elliot. Smith went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and six boards, while Elliot went 9-for-17 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jamarious Toney, who posted four points along with seven boards and five steals.

Cedar Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Williams, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Cedar Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williams, they will challenge Person at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Williams is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
