Volleyball Recap: Jonesville Comes Up Short

Jonesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Homer Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.

Morgan Wood paced Jonesville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wood got some help from Carley Graves and her 24 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Jonesville's defeat dropped their record down to 20-20-2. As for Homer, their win bumped their record up to 7-25-3.

Jonesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Homer, they will square off against Dansville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Homer is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
