Juneau-Douglas's game on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They blew past the Wasilla Warriors 5-2. The result was nothing new for Juneau-Douglas, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Juneau-Douglas' fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five matchups. As for Wasilla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7-3 record this season.

Juneau-Douglas will have a chance to go back-to-back against Wasilla: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
