Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Hillcrest was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They came up short against the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets, falling 49-24. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 45th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead T.L. Hanna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamerah Wynn, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Freeman, who put up seven points and five boards.

Hillcrest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for T.L. Hanna, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-37 loss against Woodmont on the 9th. As for T.L. Hanna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-49 defeat against J.L. Mann on the 14th.
