Soccer Game Preview: Kenwood vs. Brooks

The Kenwood Broncos will head out to challenge the Brooks Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenwood will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Kenwood earned a 3-1 win over Lake View. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Kenwood's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Lake View are ranked 377th).

Amelia Berg and Aubrey Crisler scored all three of Kenwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Brooks' offense. They lost 9-0 to Phoenix Military on Friday.

Brooks has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Kenwood, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Kenwood might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Brooks in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
