            After only two  runs in their last  match, Hot Springs made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Dexter  on Thursday. Hot Springs put the hurt on Dexter with a sharp  15-5 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2022.

 Hunter Montoya was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. He is becoming a predictor of Hot Springs' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 0-2-1 when he doesn't).
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tristan Polanco, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Gabrial Varela was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Hot Springs  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .550. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Hot Springs is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record  this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to  hits: they averaged an imposing 11  hits in those games compared to only 2.67 in the others. Dexter's defeat was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Hot Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  5-2  loss against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 28th. As for Dexter, they have also  already played their next matchup,  a  19-1  victory against Jal on the 29th.
