After losing to South Ripley the last time they met, Switzerland County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pacers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp  7-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pacers, who have now won six matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
Not much got past  Zayne Smith, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep South Ripley off the board.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Carson Byrd, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season. Another player making a difference was  Roman Hite, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Switzerland County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win made it two in a row for Switzerland County and  bumps their season record up to 8-5. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for South Ripley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Switzerland County will head out to  take on Lawrenceburg  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Pacers 3.2, the Tigers 3.6) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for South Ripley, they will head out on the road to  challenge  South Decatur  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
