Basketball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Amador Valley Dons

Foothill is 2-8 against Amador Valley since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Foothill Falcons will be playing at home against the Amador Valley Dons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Foothill is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by California 66-23. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 695th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, Amador Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dougherty Valley.

Amador Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Foothill strolled past Amador Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 60-44. Does Foothill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Amador Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
