Iowa won against Leesville last Tuesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Iowa Yellowjackets were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Leesville Wampus Cats. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Iowa, bringing their record for this year to 9-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Leesville, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iowa will venture away from home to take on South Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Simpson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
