Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks, falling 44-11. While losing is never fun, the Blu-Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 76th).

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Jayhawk Linn, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Pleasanton will face off against Northeast on Friday. Pleasanton is facing Northeast at the right time seeing as Northeast is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Jayhawk Linn, they will head out on the road to take on Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jayhawk Linn's defense has only allowed 23.6 points per game this season, so Southeast's offense will have their work cut out for them.
