Basketball Recap: Hodgeman County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hodgeman County posted their closest win since February 22, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bucklin Red Aces, sneaking past 50-48. The victory was familiar territory for the Longhorns who have now won four games in a row.

Hodgeman County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Reece led the charge by going 5 of 8 on his way to 15 points. What's more, Reece also posted a 63% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Schroeder, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Hodgeman County's record is now 13-4. As for Bucklin, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hodgeman County will welcome Kiowa County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bucklin, they have already played their next contest, a 58-41 win against Ingalls on the 8th.
