The Tuscola Mountaineers will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on the Polk County Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Tuscola is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of Asheville. The Mountaineers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.
Meanwhile, Polk County can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 30-0 win over Madison.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Polk County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donte Tingling, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Loreynzo Sanchez, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
