Football Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Falls to Pepin/Alma in First Game of Season

Elmwood/Plum City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 50-6 loss at the hands of Pepin/Alma. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-6.

Justin Bergmann was nothing short of spectacular for Pepin/Alma: he rushed for 162 yards and two scores on only nine carries, and also caught one touchdown. Bergmann's longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards. Another player making a difference was Owen Post, who gained 87 total yards and a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Elmwood/Plum City will head out to face off against Blair-Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Pepin/Alma, they will square off against Assumption at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
