Football Recap: Rich Takes Down Milford in a Playoff Battle

Rich extended their postseason success on Saturday against Milford. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 21-12. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

A big part of Rich's victory came down to the chemistry between Wilkes Weston and his top target Jett Holmes. Weston rushed for 154 yards and one score while Holmes rushed for 101 yards. Weston also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making five total tackles, and defending one pass.

Rich was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only rushed for 72.

Rich didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Karter Groll and Paxton Nicolodemos.

Milford's loss came despite strong showings from Kyzler Merryweather and Tayon Blackburn. Merryweather gained 54 total yards and two touchdowns, while Blackburn rushed for 60 yards.

Rich's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Milford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

As of now, neither Rich nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
