Football Game Preview: Fair Haven Slaters vs. Bellows Falls Terriers

Fair Haven and Bellows Falls are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Slaters will take on the Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Fair Haven is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Brattleboro, who was ranked 14th at the time (Fair Haven was ranked ninth). The Slaters blew past the Bears 35-0 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Slaters.

Meanwhile, Bellows Falls humbled Springfield with a 49-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Terriers, who have now won three matchups by 43 points or more so far this season.

The victory got Fair Haven back to even at 2-2. As for Bellows Falls, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Fair Haven against Bellows Falls in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-7 victory. Will the Slaters repeat their success, or do the Terriers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
