Softball Recap: Charles City Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Charles City finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crestwood Cadets. Comets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cadets since on Tuesday.

Charles City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Crestwood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cadets beat Charles City by a score of 8-3 later that day.
