Football Recap: South Park Starts off Right with Win over East Allegheny

South Park had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 33-26 win over the East Allegheny Wild Cats. The score was all tied up 12-12 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

South Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Robert Lenzi out in front who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Lenzi racked up 72 passing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Colsen Heynes was another key back, rushing for 84 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Coming up, South Park will head out to take on Deer Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Allegheny, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Southmoreland at 7:00 p.m.
