Volleyball Game Preview: Barbers Hill Eagles vs. Angleton Wildcats

The Barbers Hill Eagles will square off against the Angleton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barbers Hill will be looking to extend their current 26-game winning streak.

Barbers Hill barely beat Summer Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Bulldogs 3-0 on Monday.

Barbers Hill's got stronger as the match went on, holding Summer Creek to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Barbers Hill can attribute much of their success to Mina Ludwig, who had 11 digs.

Meanwhile, Angleton came up short against Friendswood on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-12.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Barbers Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 39-5.
