Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont Community Charter). They put the hurt on the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats with a sharp 24-3 win on Friday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Piedmont Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Sugar Creek Charter, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Community Charter will head out to square off against North Hills Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Queen's Grant at 4:30 p.m. on the 25th.
