Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty lost against Point Pleasant Beach back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Liberty Lions took a blow against the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls, falling 77-50. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they will take on Henry Hudson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Point Pleasant Beach knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Henry Hudson likes a good challenge.
