Flag Football Recap: Lodi Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lodi can now relate to. They lost 26-6 to the Ponderosa Bruins on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Flames can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Bruins are ranked 33rd).

Maddie Galatsatos threw for 69 yards and one TD. Lillie Bayless was her top target, picking up 70 receiving yards.

The critical scores for Ponderosa came from Maisyn Perin, Aprilia Brown, and Bella Escobar.

With the loss, Lodi broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-8. As for Ponderosa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Lodi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ponderosa, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-20 victory against El Capitan on the 3rd.
