There's no place like home for Incarnate Word Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Thursday. The Angels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Arisela Perez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kam Bean, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Harper Phillips, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Incarnate Word Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Incarnate Word Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-3-1. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coincidentally, Incarnate Word Academy and New Braunfels Christian Academy will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Angels will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
