Baseball Recap: Fletcher Find Success

Fletcher won the last time they faced Nease and things went their way on Tuesday too. Fletcher won by a run and slipped past Nease 3-2.

Kyle Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Fletcher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakeb McDougall, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fletcher now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Nease, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Fletcher wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Englewood on the 13th. As for Nease, they have also already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Fleming Island on the 12th.
