Volleyball Game Preview: Attleboro Bombardiers vs. King Philip Regional Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Attleboro Bombardiers and the King Philip Regional Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Attleboro didn't have quite enough to beat Norton and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Bombardiers in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

Attleboro wouldn't go down easily and took Norton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-6, 15-5.

Meanwhile, King Philip Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Dighton-Rehoboth Regional. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Falcons since April 6, 2022.

While King Philip Regional was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20, 26-24.

King Philip Regional's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Attleboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything went Attleboro's way against King Philip Regional when the teams last played back in April, as Attleboro made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Bombardiers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
