Preview: Dugway Mustangs vs. Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles
Dugway has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Dugway suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 72-28 loss at the hands of Mount Vernon. Dugway was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.
Tanner Thackeray put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points. Hazen Bullcreek was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Utah School for the Deaf & Blind, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were beaten by Washington School for the Deaf 58-12 on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Utah School for the Deaf & Blind has scored all season.
Dugway's loss was their ninth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Utah School for the Deaf & Blind, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Dugway lost to Utah School for the Deaf & Blind on the road by a decisive 45-30 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Dugway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
