Basketball Recap: Cleburne Piles Up the Points Against Seguin

Cleburne had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Seguin Cougars, posting a 54-19 win. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Cougars are ranked 836th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cleburne's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-13. As for Seguin, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Cleburne will square off against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seguin, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Seguin Cougars challenge the Mansfield Summit Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Summit will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Seguin surely won't give up without a fight.
