Wayland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Duxbury Dragons on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six matches in a row.

Duxbury's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Catherine Grimaldi, who had 13 assists and three digs, and Avery McCash, who had eight kills, four digs, and one block. McCash is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 17 games she's played.

Wayland's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Duxbury, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.

Wayland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Longmeadow on the 12th. Duxbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
