Baseball Game Preview: Camden County Bruins vs. Holmes Aces

For the second straight game, Camden County will face off against Holmes. The Bruins will take on the Aces at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Camden County is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Camden County proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by eight) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Holmes 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted since March 19th.

Bradley Elias made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Camden County pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
